You are the program manager assigned to the M365 program with the responsibility of transitioning an organization’s email, collaboration, and productivity tools to the cloud. You’re given a budget of 1.5 million dollars and a fixed timeline of 12 months to complete. This is a top priority for the organization, and you have been given:
20 dedicated resources that include 1 solution architect to configure the infrastructure environment
6 system administrators to perform configuration and deployment of the products and service
9 application developers to rewrite or modernize applications for transition to the cloud
2 project coordinators to coordinate the day-to-day project activities and liaison with the different product teams,
1 business analyst to capture requirements
1 release manager to coordinate releases and communication throughout the program
There are other pressing priorities and a global pandemic that can have an impact on the project. Since this is the organization’s first step into the cloud, there are a lot of unknowns and limited cloud expertise in-house.
Given this scenario, create an assumption and constraint analysis to identify the risk and impact of each risk. Be sure your analysis addresses the following questions:
What are the assumptions or constraints?
Which assumptions or constraints can be proven false?
If an assumption or constraint is proven false, would it affect the program?
Which assumptions or constraints should be converted to a negative risk (threat)?
Which assumptions or constraints should be converted to a positive risk (opportunity)?
Which converted risks would require action steps to be taken?
Length: 2-3 pages, not including the title and reference pages, containing an assumption and constraint analysis. Your paper must include 1 table and narrative for an explanation of each section of the table.
References: Include a minimum of 3 scholarly resources.
The completed assignment should address all of the assignment requirements, exhibit evidence of concept knowledge, and demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the content presented in the course. The writing should integrate scholarly resources, reflect academic expectations and current APA standards
