There are a variety of sources to seek out guidelines. . One suggestion would be to use PubMed.gov. You can use the article filters for practice guidelines. You will select this after putting in your search terms.
A second suggestion is to search CINAHL in the library using the search terms clinical guideline or clinical practice guideline. The third and I believe best suggestion I have is to use UpToDate. It has the most comprehensive clinical and evidence based practice guidelines available. Select a clinical problem of significance to you or may be specific to your practice. Using the clinical problem, relate it to one of the four components of the nursing metaparadigm. Select and integrate an evidence-based guideline or best practice guideline to address the clinical problem. Address the guideline recommendations that support the level of evidence.
