For this paper, you will choose two works of art from the North Carolina Museum. The first
work should be something that you react to positively, the second work should be something
that you react to negatively.
You will write a paper in which you describe each work and explain your positive / negative
reaction to the work. In your conclusion, summarize your experience at the Museum.
The components for this Paper are:
● Identification of Art Works (thumbnail images + captions)
● Brief introduction to the selected works
● Visual Analysis and Interpretation of each work in the body of the paper
● Concluding Paragraph explaining your overall takeaway from comparing these two
works of art
The Paper should be approximately 2 – 4 pages in length
Identification of objects:
Begin by identifying the works of art. These identifications can either be together at the
beginning of the paper, or embedded in the body of the paper as you discuss each work.
Whatever format you choose, insert a thumbnail image and provide a caption for the
artwork, using the following format*:
